i already posted this on curezone.com. but i am asking here as well:

hi!
new here. i was going to start a cleansing program with the good old fashion master cleanse.
but i am totally broke...so i am gaining interest in information on water fasting.
i would like to feel cleaned out
lose weight
my activity level is sedentary
i am changing my diet from junk food to healthier food
usually a once a day eater with a snack
i do drink caffine (amt fluxes)
i dont smoke
i am 5'5'' @145-150 lbs (am told i look more like 130. whatever that means...more lean muscle?)

any links to free info on what to do to make sure that i dont make myself ill and keep properly hydrated.
i dont have to work or care for anyone so low energy wont be a factor that trips me up. i know i am going to feel not so hot.
i did a plain water flush and got all sore throated so i am guessing i am pretty toxic.

so:
1. how much water should i drink?(i know from the tap is a no no)
2. would taking cayenne pepper help with the plain water flush?
3. should i take a herbal laxitive tea and when? (i have 100% senna here)
4. what is a reasonable time to be on this fast?

I don't know the answers to your questions, but if the other board gives you good advice I'd appreciate it if you could post them here too.

      fasting prep:

The Pre-Fast Regimen: Eight Days of Recommended Preparation
Days 1-3: Avoid meat, fish, fowl, eggs, dairy, grains, legumes, salt and spices. Focus on fruits and vegetables; cooking them is okay.

Days 4-6: As above, except all foods are eaten raw.

Days 7-8: Raw fruit and vegetable juices only.

It is also recommended that you meditate and journal on the lifestyle and diet changes you want to make, so as to start your fast with a clear vision.

Following this plan for the last eight days before your fast will ease your body into burning fats and detoxifying, and make starting the water fast easier.

You should not attempt a water fast if you:

      have Type I diabetes,
      have severe liver disease,
      have AIDS,
      have advanced cancer,
      have renal insufficiency,
      or if you are pregnant.

i have read so far that you can do it weekend warrior (2-3 days)

i am reading alot of 10 day recommendations

some people are going a month.
      -----------------------------------------------------------------
i know i could easily do a weekend thing.
10 days...i worry about having to take a colon flush...no way in hell am i giving myself an enema. (which i have read to be recommended to move out the old colon build up)
phsyllium has been reccomended to help move the buildup with a laxitive tea combo. list warning of chance of bringing back hunger.
i dont know about the lax tea for long term (more than 10days)
it just doesnt seem like it would be good for you

      Water Fasting Tips

      1. Avoid water straight from the faucet. Distilled water is the best for cleansing because of its inherent, magnetic properties and ability to absorb and suspend large quantities of toxins, flushing them from the body. The perceived value of mineral water is misleading because the inorganic minerals are like huge boulders to the cellular membranes, making them impossible to assimilate. Plants are able to break down the minerals from the soils, allowing them to be completely absorbable to the cells of the body. The best water is distilled, secondly, spring or filtered. A Brita Filtration System is inexpensive and effective, but change the filter regularly.

      2. There are no calories or nutritional value in water. On a water fast you have given your body no options but to turn to its Life Bank for fuel. This can create a problem when you have spent years depositing counterfeit fuel. Living exclusively on dirty fuel during a fast takes tremendous courage, strength and prayer. To ease into water fasting, we recommend juice fasting with periods of water fasting. For example 3 days on juice, 2 days on water, 5 days on juice, then 3 days on water. You can juice when you have to work and water fast on the weekend when you can rest. This is my preferred method of water fasting.

      Water Fasting Concerns

It is not advisable to water fast under the conditions of hyperglycemia, hypoglycemia, schizophrenia or a chronic heart condition

      DIZZINESS:

Be careful of dizziness and black outs. The heart is resting as much as it can during water fasting. Before you stand up, take one or two deep breaths to get the heart pumping. If you start to back out, sit down or crouch down on one knee. This will immediately stop the dizziness.

I have read on curezone that a water fast isn't advised. (Read MHs forum) Arnold Ehret also said that it can kill a person. He is a master faster. Why don't you try just eating once a day? That is recommded by these same two people. I even knew a guy who only ate every other day.

indeed... this type of fasting is quite radical approach to cleansing... but not impossible

i would definitely try it once, of course with a supervision of an expert present...

do you remeber what page you got that info from?
          or url?

i already pretty much eat once a day.
i have hit a stand still with weightloss and i still am too fat for my liking. i cant exercise alot because of joint issues.

why do they say its dangerous? how can it kill a person?

    Water Fast
You can fast from 1 to 40 days.
Try to drink 2 liters of water or more per day.
The ten day water fast has become a recommended
number of days. Ten days on water will cause the same
weight loss as 30 days on juice. But water fasting is far
more difficult, especially if you have a fast metabolism.
Water fasting cleanses the body aggressively removing
toxins rapidly. Water fasting can be more beneficial
than juice fasting in combating more persistent forms of
cancer, cleansing the tissues more aggressively. Water
fasting demands mental preparation, the less pressure
and responsibility you have during a water fast the better.
Think of it a holiday away form the normal patterns of living.
Some recommend that the week before your fast, you drink
fresh juices and eat mostly raw fruits and vegetables to
cleanse the body so that the detoxification during water
fasting will be less aggressive. Water fasting should always
include two of three days of juice fasting before and after
the water fast. This alternating between juice and water
fasting is the most effective method of achieving a full
    cleansing through fasting.
