I have a question for ye experienced fasters: when do you normally begin a fast?
First thing in the morning? So your last meal is the night before, or do you eat breakfast and that's your last meal? Does it make a difference?

Re: starting a fast
Mon, May 29, 2006 - 10:23 AMI usually eat about 6pm and then fast till 6pm the next evening on a 24 hour fast. For those new to it or those who have problems with willpower, this is easier since one isn't hungry at that non-busy time late at night. -

Re: starting a fast
Mon, July 17, 2006 - 8:56 AMI like to fast a total of about 14 days a year when i am feeling fine, and also for a couple of days every time i have a healing crisis.I find it best to start my fast in the morning of the first day.If you are going to do a long fast(more than 5 days) i suggest you do it supervised the 1st time out.My first long fast(14 days)was supervised and i am so glad it was supervised by a Dr who knows the signs of crisis.

Re: starting a fast
Mon, June 19, 2006 - 7:22 PMHi Lisa,
I began fasting two years ago. I fast two days a week now. I begin at 6:00p.m. on the night before and fast until 6:00 p.m. the next day. It sure does give you a chance to get close to God, because you can't do it without His help!
God Bless,
Cindy
