I've been wanting to do a fast for a while and I was going to start next week but now I have this new job doing massage and I just can't afford to be that low energy.
Can anyone recommend a good cleansing type diet that's good as a suppliment for fasting when you need to keep your calories in tact?

Fri, March 18, 2005 - 8:59 AMif you're liberal...some people would say just giving up meat or meat, fish, and eggs (flesh foods) is a "type" of fast or cleanse. Others would say, you will get all the energy you need plus more just from doing a raw food diet. I would say, limit your fast to a 3 day cleanse on the weekend. You could do one day raw, one day fruit smoothies and one day veggie juice *as just one suggestion*. Anyway, just try changing your diet for a few days...if that goes well, try another one for 7 days, and so on and so forth. Take copious notes about what seems to work and what doesn't. Try to just make a point every day of your fast to do more reading about the detox diet and healthy food choices. Good luck!
