i hope your at home now... seriously

get off the komputa and relax the eyes... your brain is about to go boo boo... ummm meaning, "help!"

act fast and get a 1 quart sized plastic container for your salt water flush...

most importantly... you have "the book?"

      i do have the book
i almost have it memorized :)
on my last fast i tried both the laxative tea and the salt water. the salt water for some reason did not work. maybe i needed to go walk around the block afterwards!

        day 2 huh?

        congrats!

i hope your straining the lemon pulp... you probably dont think its much but... drinking 8-10 cups will amount to lotta pulp... and the downside of this? your going to experience hunger... cuz, the brain will send signals to secrete enzymes trying to break it down... with this lingering hunger, the MC becomes quite impossible...

ive done the MC for 28 days last sept., without this knowledge... and i couldnt understand why i was still so damn hungry after the initial stage where they said i wasnt suppose to be... what a journey that was... yeah, i learned a thing or 2 about self control... but geeeeeeez! that was just too much...

        good luck to ya...

        ^.^

hmmm. i thought according to stanley burroughs he rccomends using some pulp and rind to help the cleansing process along and stop any bleeding that could occur.

"blend part of the lemon skin and pulpwith the lemonade in a blender for further cleansing and laxative effect"

and then theres the note on using organic lemons because regular ones have dye, etc.

"the properties in the lemon skin also act as a hemostatic to prevent excess bleeding and to prevent clotting internally should there be any such prevailing consition.(dont worry - normal conditions will continue during the menstrual periods.)"

              thats quoted from the book.

on the otherhand people that have done the MC alot say the same thing that you do. it makes them feel hungry to drink the pulp.

so i guess either way, its a bit of a trade off?

"blend part of the lemon skin and pulp"

first of all, your using a blender instead of a juicer? hmmm... i imagine your lemon brew is more like a shake... eww* LOL
and i bet it tastes quite milky too huh?

one thing to understand about the book is that, it will cover more stuff than an individual might need... personally, i get my laxative efx from the salt water flush...

                "using organic lemons"

absolutely... and not only the dye but pesicides as well which is more prominent in the outer skin...

i used regular lemon... they were NOT Organic... but i didnt use a blender... but an electric juicer, ya know the one where you press down to squeeze the juice? after throwing the skin away and straining the pulp out... im left with pure lemon extract, which ultimately makes my lemon tea tangy, sweet, and transparent (minus the milky body)

be brave and try something different... just to see the different results...

                ^_^

um i guess you would compare it to the pulp vs. no pulp type of o.j.
it is milkish when i blend it. kinda looks like a soupy fruit smoothie.
i did 6 lemons and put it in a glass jar so i wouldnt have to juice everytime. i can just measure.

                    ahhh see*

                    whatever works for ya...

im in no way recommending to deviate from stanleys guide lines... i wouldnt dare to ^.^

but applying the basic principles to each individual...

btw, ya gotta try the ginger bath ive prescribed down below...

                    ^_^

<salt water for some reason did not work>

amount of salt is variable... and yes, stanley prescribes 2 teaspoon but personally for me... i needed a whole "tablespoon" to make things moving...

i really believe its the ph level of each individual...

you see, the ingested salt water has to be higher in salt content than what your ph level is... to let the body know, "hey, this is foreign chemical... flush it now!" on the flipside, if the body thinks its fluids are re-cycleable... it will result into some serious bloating... yuck! ^_^

my advice... play around lil bit with the amount of salt...

and most importantly... RELAX! and listen carefully to what your body is going through and telling you...

next, no matter what, DO NOT FREAK OUT! if you feel something is not right... chill, wipe the sweat off your brow, and calmly try to find answers and remedy to get you back on course...

make it to day 5 for some ginger tea bath! i have the bomb receipe... just hang in there lil more!

and my final tip of the day for you...

drink at least 2 gallons of water...

being de-hydrated is the worse thing be to while on MC...

ill check in tomm to see how your doing sista!

          ^.^

whew! the buses weren't running at c the campus today so i had to hike about a mile uphill. i definately felt a bit light headed at the end.
thanks for the advice on straining- i will give that a try. the hunger pangs are a bit distracting.
ginger bath- mmm! that is something to look forward to!
i bought laxative tea appropriately named "smooth move". according to a friend, the main ingredient, an herd called Senna, really hurt her stomach.
thank you all for your support!

if you start to feel stomach pain from the senna have a big glass of water. i noticed this really helps. i never had pain at all using it but i sipped it and would always follow it by a big glass of water.
once when i skipped the water i felt a little stomach wierdness so i chugged a glass o water and i felt fine.

seriously... the consequences of low sugar level is quite alarming... seems like your a tough lil cookie there! hehe but girl... ya dont want to have the paramedic come and rescue you when you couldve prevented it... okie dokie?

and yes, ginger tea bath is the bomb girl!

              keep going!

                weeeee!
i made it to hump day!
i think i'm gonna bring a few quarts of lemonade to the beach with me and commit myself to some yoga and and a good book today. the fasting has actually been getting easier.
fri night i was able to go out with some friends and drink some herbal tea while they all wolfed down some yummy looking ramen and miso. i find it easier to just let the cravings come and then pass rather than trying to fight having any cravings at all. after friday night, i knew i could get through the rest of the fast.
                see y'all tomorrow!

you soooo deserve the ginger bath! ^_^

kudos to you my sista! ^.^

the receipe and the directions goes like this...

                  ingredients needed:

                  2 lbs. of organic ginger
                  epsom salt
                  baking soda
                  a relaxed mind and body

                  direction:

1.cut 1 lbs. ginger into 1inch chunks and boil in a pot filled with 4 cups of spring water, until you can poke it with a fork with ease

                  2. fill up bath tub with med-hot water and add, ONLY the ginger brew, 2 cups of epsom salt, and 1 cup of baking soda... stir that baby real good

                  3. expect much sweating... more than usual compared to a normal bath. must have a bottle of MC lemon brew on hand to prevent de-hydration. drink drink drink... and drink some more during the 30 minute in the tub.

                  4. after 30 minutes, do not dry off. put on a robe, grab your lemon brew, and jump in the bed under the covers (preping the bed with some extra towels prior will save the clean up). watch some tv for about another 30 min. while hydrating the body with your lemon brew. expect much sweating under the blanket.

                  5. take a luke warm shower and afterwards, treat yourself to writing down how good you feel inside and out. if possible, make copies of the note and post it as many places as possible without annoying other people. must smile when you see notes in your surroundings.

                  6. 2-3 times a week will super enhence the detox process. experience clarity in the mind and focus to all the more keep the fasting from failing.

                  good luck*

                  ^_^

What about drinking epsom salt in water? The epsom salts bring more water into the bowels, therefore moving things easier. 2-4 teaspoons of epsom salt in 8 ounces of water, dissolved. Sea salt in water did nothing for me.

                      its chemical based.
this cleanse it to wash your body free of chemicals.
adding more chemicals to your body couldmake it harder on yourself.
