Hi all!
I plan to do the master cleanse and I really want to do it right after I get out of surgery next week (I am have kneww surgery.) I have to be pretty sedentary for the first week after the surgery and I thought this would be a good time to do the master cleanse. But I am wondering if maybe doing it after surgery is not a good idea because my body will be healing.

Fri, March 18, 2005 - 11:00 AMI would think that it would be okay - unless you are taking pain killers and stuff. I dont think that would be okay. You are not supposed to take anything other than the Lemon, Maple, cheyenne.
My take is that you are not really Fasting on the master cleanse. You get Maple Syrup = Sugar. That is just my 2 cents. -

By your definition, is fasting only possible when doing a water fast? -

i did my 28 days of MC, 30 days after surgery to my lower back and the doc was amazed at how quickly i re-cooperated
he believes that MC not only allowed more energy to be utilzed to heal but also the body to gorge on scar tissue and flush it out...
the whole idea of MC is simply allowing the body to utilize its own energy to heal itself... people have no idea how much of it is wasted to burn up the junk that we feed ourselves... so when we stop eating and provide just enough sugar and minerals through lemon and maple... the body can now go into over drive in finding all the "trash" that must be released...
good luck with your surgery and my recommendation is... at least 30 days of normal recovery until you do the MC -

thats what i wonder about.
i have read cleansing can pll your through emotions as well when going through detox.
is it bad to mix the two possibilities?
