I woke up Sunday morning with the stomach flu. I am still feeling the symptoms and am not too interested in eating. I was thinking about fasting as soon as the flu symptoms are over, to clean out my system. Is this a good idea or should I wait?

You should wait, your body is going to need some nutrients and energy to strengthen your immune system. Fasting with an already taxed immune system is not safe in my opinion.

You should fast ANY time you feel sick. Sickness is accumulated waste, aka old food, morbid matters stuck in the body. Fast and lie in the sunshine and you will feel better.

My doctor, with whom i have done 2 supervised fasts, says to fast anytime you are feeling ill.If your appetite is gone it is because your body wants to fast. She and her family have been helping people fast for more than 50 yrs.

If you are ill and dont feel like eating, there is a reason. You're body is trying to rid itself of poisons. The same reason an animal wont eat when it is sick. Drink plenty of water, then, when you start to feel better go with some broth and live juices until you are ready to eat again. I fast most everytime my body is out of whack.
