Hi, I'm a new Triber and a virgin faster and looking for some advice on approaches to my fast. I'm heading into it with three days off work to start and then I'll be back into the groove for a few days, but I'm hoping that by then I'll be well on my way and past the initial struggle (not that it stops there, I would imagine...)
Open to anything from those more experienced....

I'm currently on day 32 of a 40-day juice fast. I did my first long fast, of 42 days, under the on-line supervision of Dennis Paulson, at Fasting Center International: www.fasting.com. I found his support really useful.
Now, I'm able to fast on my own for extended periods of time, but I haven't done a fast of over a couple of weeks for several years -- until now. I'm hoping to get pregnant sometime late this summer, so I had major inspiration to "clean my temple" this spring.
I have a blog of my fast on my page, if you're curious about where I was starting from, and what it's been like so far.

Fri, March 31, 2006 - 8:05 AMThank you for the response. I realized that I was diving into things with very little preparation, so I decided to take a few days to tone it down and ease into the fast. I am on day one of a juice fast today and feeling confident and excited with the new moon and yesterday's exclipse-the timing feels better now.
Congratulations on the soon closing of your 42 days-inspirational!
