In some of the threads, i read mention of herbal teas being used as laxatives. I was wondering if they contained senna..or does anyone have positive or negative things to say about using senna for that purpose...The stuff does certainly seen to clear one out.

It's bad. It gave me bad stomach cramps...it may work for some and not for others. Laxatives in general are bad, I hear. Go for the PROBIOTICS instead.

I tried Yogi Tea "Get Regular" with senna and had moderate to severe cramps. I cut back to about 1/2 cup of weak tea but that was still pretty intense.

Even though I'm not currently fasting, I'm taking 1-2 LBS II (lower bowel stimulant) capsules before bed every night. The ingredients are cascara sagrada bark, buckthorn bark, licorice root, capsicum fruit, ginger root, oregon grape root, turkey rhubarb root, couch grass herb, and red clover tops. No cramping at all, and I'm incredibly regular for the first time in my life :)

    i like it.
i used 100% senna blend in a tea cup.
i made sure i was super hydrated the week before. which i am sure makes a diffrence.
its not reccomended that you use any laxitve without following the directions. over time because the colon will become dependant on the lax.
    herbal or chemical.

when i felt just a tinge of nausea drank water. i got more chilly than anything before it got things moving.

My friend recommends "Smooth Move" by Traditional Medicinals. I used this in conjunction with my "lemonade diet" and I had cramping in the middle of the night only one of the four nights I used it. So, I guess it's not all bad...
